Iron Chefs Challenge at JOTA-JOTI

Have you practiced your culinary camp cooking skills lately? Perhaps you’re out of practice, but know that your troop has better meals at camp than any other troop.
O.K. Prove it.
The annual Iron Chefs Challenge at this year’s JOTA-JOTI Camp will be to see what delectable dishes you can design and deliver by 5:00pm on Saturday.
Chef Keith McGinty will be waiting for you near the flagpoles, ready to be dazzled by your talents.

Chef Keith McGinty will be waiting for you near the flagpoles, ready to be dazzled by your talents.
“The Rules”
- Basic food must be BEANS – any number, any type, or even several different types of BEANS.
- Meals and ingredients must be prepared on-site at Camp (sorry, no prepping at home beforehand)
- The BEANS can be either cooked or uncooked, and you can use either fresh or dried beans (no canned beans, or bean juice….Bean Juice…..UGH!)
- You are required to produce 2 out of 3 optional meals – An Appetizer, a Main Course, or a Desert dish.
- Other food ingredients can be included in the prepared dishes, but BEANS must be the predominant and obvious ingredient.
- Dishes must be finished, presented ready for the table, at 5:00 pm, Saturday.
- Winning team and awarding of prestigious trophy, will be announced at closing on Sunday
