Today, we have set up electronic confirmation to record who we have connected with at JOTA.

In the past, this was done by postcard. 
QSL card - a postcard mailed between operators confirming contact between stations.  Information about the contacted station, the time/date and radio band is added to personalize the contact. 

Now, we email the QSL card for the operator to print out.

There is much to do at JOTA - JOTI Weekend Camporee. Take a look at the updated menu where are trying something new with a grazing, open menu, salad bar and fries stand.
Activities are scheduled all day Saturday around the camp. Please study the detailed map for the activities you are most interested in . 

The team is busy building a great program for the 2025 JOTA Camp at Camp Samac. Pre-Registration will be open by end of April. Reserve your spot and get a guarantee on the registration fee. 

Our 2024 team is ready for a new start at Camp Samac, 275 Conlin Rd E, Oshawa. 
Program planning is in its final stages, but we will introduce you to our new permanent HAM Radio set up at Conlin House.

The great thing about Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) is you can do it from home or with a few friends connecting via your computer. 
Register for the on line event and get to meet Scouts from around the world over the weekend.

this year we are using our smart phones at JOTA. 
 
There will be JOTA wifi 
Youth will use their smartphone to access  Scoutlink IRC? 
Youth will need to load the Scoutlink software BEFORE they arrive at camp. 
 It can be found on the Google and Apple software app stores.  
They need to look for "Scoutlink IRC" and install the program.
